Day 25 Tiffin University background pre-research

Today I did some researches for Tiffin University’s background to draft the Center of Sports & Culture. Tiffin University was founded in 1888, referred to as TU, is in the Midwest of Ohio, is a private comprehensive university, and is recognized by the American Higher Education Commission (HLC), the American Business School, and the Program Accreditation Board (ACSBP), European Commission for Business Education (ECBE) and other higher education institutions recognized by the world education certification department. In 2020, U.S. NEWS U.S. Midwestern University ranked 114th, and American college graduates ranked 69th in contribution to social mobility. The university has three colleges: the College of Humanities, Arts and Sciences, the College of Business, and the College of Criminal Justice and Social Sciences. Among them, the major sports management in the business school is one of the few in the U.S. that focuses on sports marketing and has a close relationship with the Olympians, Paralympians, and professional experts. As so far, TU is the only one that could coordinate with the Olympics to have a cross-culture sports academic experience travel. The program has been held in Athens, Greece (2004); Beijing, China (2008); London, England (2012); Rio de Janeiro, Brazil (2016). The cooperation with the International Cultural Consortium (ICC), which is called Life After Game (LAG), is an affordable self-paced program designed by athletes for athletes to meet the specific needs of those making the transition from the sporting world to the modern workplace. Except for the mentioned events, TU owns other market-driven sports business majors to improve students’ professional quality on the sports field, such as BS of Sports Marketing/ Esports/ Athletics Administration, MBA for Sports Management.
