Day 34 Tokyo Olympics postponed impact questionnaire from China's data analysis 2-2

已更新:2021年4月18日

Based on the basic data from the 2020 Tokyo Olympics postponed impact questionnaire, today I cross analyzed between different options to obtain more intuitive research conclusions. This cross-analysis focused on a detailed analysis which consisted of four parts, including the comparisons (1) gender vs. dependent variables, (2) age vs. dependent variables, (3) gender vs. negative impacts, and (4) age vs. negative impacts. In the first cross-analysis, despite over two-thirds of participants preferred to watching games via media (TV or online streaming), the female showed more willingness to attend the Tokyo Olympics in 56.89% than 45% in the male. In the second part, the younger generations (from 18 to 45) relied more heavily on media to watching games (average around 60%) than the older group of 46+. The difference of willingness for all age distribution of participants’ attendance to the Olympics was not obvious with an average of 52% in Yes and 48% in No. In the third part, the male and the female participants had reached a consensus on two negative impactors. The biggest negative impact on attendance at the Olympics was COVID-19 with over 70%. The second one was city safety with around 32%. In the last part, the cross-analysis illustrated different results based on different age groups. The two younger groups (18-35) worried more (about 38%) about city safety than another two older ones (about 25%). Another important negative impactor for the youngers was money, which accounted for about 31% while the other two groups (36-46+) only for about 19%. However, no matter what kind of age-specific negative impactor in different age groups, the common enemy still was COVID-19 with an average of over 71%.
