Day 35 TU's Elite Sports & Culture Center press release

Today I finished the press release for the Elite Sports & Culture Center. It was the second time I wrote a press release during my postgraduate study period. Because the first experience was about one and a half years ago, I almost forgot the rules of launching a qualified press release, I researched how to write a press release on the Internet. After self-study and browsed a dozen of press release examples with different topics, I had understood briefly the basic rules. First and most important, the press release should be concise and short to explain what happened to catch visitors’ eyes as soon as possible in the numerous news. Generally, the first paragraph should tell four key points: who, what, why, and where. Then, the rest paragraphs should explain the news in detail when some readers would like to know more about this news. If the organization was not so famous for all the readers, the press release should display a simple introduction and homepage link for a reference. To add on a contact person’s information was as essential as the press release’s title because that could help the public media or interested readers to keep touch in with the organization. Last, try the best to keep the press release a page long — two pages, tops.
