Today I received the first part of the questionnaires for my project of 2020 Tokyo postponed impact on the tourism industry between the U.S. and China. The first collection of raw data were 72, in total valid. This part of the questionnaires mainly distributed in Wuhan and surrounding areas because Mei was a Grad student of Wuhan Sports University. As I mentioned in my past journal, I cannot come back to China to hand out the papered questionnaire due to the travel ban of COVID-19, I asked for the help of my friend Mei in China to do so. According to my primary electric PFD format, Mei printed and handed them out in Wuhan Sports University and Hubei Province Library. Despite I finished the questionnaire and send it to Mei on Feb 15, the actual beginning time was Feb 18 because the Chinese New Year Holiday was from Feb 11 to 17. The first collection process lasted for 10 days from Feb 18 to 27. According to the suggestion of Dr. Bonnie Tiell, this study research did not include the age group under 18 years old. As the result of the brief analysis for this collection from Wuhan, the age distribution was younger overall and mainly concentrated in the two age groups that were the first level (18 to 25) and the second level (26 to 35). As the hardest-hit area of the COVID-19 in China, people in Wuhan showed more worries about health protection for public events like the Olympics. As the consequence, it is easy to find that people prefer to watching games via media and would not like to attend Tokyo Olympics.
