Today, there was only one game from women’s basketball teams between Tiffin and Hillsdale and no visiting spectators. Tiffin University took care of business in the second half, turning up the offense and defense in an 81-73 win over Hillsdale. The Dragons also controlled the paint, outscoring Hillsdale 36-22 inside while taking advantage of the Chargers’ turnovers with a 12-6 margin. After a back and forth first half led to a 38-35 Hilldale halftime lead, the Dragons quickly changed the tone of the second half. They posted a 23-12 edge in the third quarter to finish the period ahead 58-50.TU did not let up, opening the fourth with a 20-7 run that boosted their lead to 21 points with just 3:22 left. Overall, before making wholesale substitutions with 3:00 to play in the game, TU outscored the Chargers 43-19 in 17 minutes. In this game, TU had a balanced offensive attack with outstanding teamwork during the entire game like rebounds, assists, and points by the players on the field.
